Connie Britton

BORN: 3/6/67, Boston, MA

INDUCTED: 2013, 89-percent majority

Connie Britton showed strong, attractive hair in supporting roles on television, and parlayed it into prime-time stardom. Her first spotlight appearance occurred in a mayor's office during the late 1990s on Spin City.

Britton showed a variety of lengths, from shoulder-touching well-teased looks to a short wavy bob. In fact, a few casual viewers might have thought two different women played her character. But Britton's hair was attractive at all times.

Britton's acting and hair fame grew in the role of a mother on Friday Night Lights. The medium-long looks she showed there have been copied to some extent as a country music performer on Nashville. There's enough thickness to support added curl -- and many Hair Fans have not objected to Britton's hair being blown or bounced around by west Texas breezes and mini-concerts.

Britton has endeared herself to Hair Fans by openly refusing to wear extensions. That support paid off for her with the 2012 Crown Award for Best Redhead (although she calls herself "mousey brown"), after reaching the Super-Hair Wars semifinals in 2011. The creation of a Twitter account specifically for Britton's hair is evidence enough of its popularity -- and her care to keep it photogenic keeps viewers intensely interested.
