The 19th Annual Crown Awards
Super-Hair's biggest event of the year led to a live chat Sunday, 10 March, where we announced a record number of Crown Award winners! Thanks for all your nominations and votes - and we congratulate the wearers of Crowns for 2018....
BEST SHORT HAIR: AMY ROBACH.
She's added 20/20 anchoring to her Good Morning America duties, and adds to her style resume by becoming the first three-time winner of this top award.
Robach 50 percent, Shawn Killinger 21%, Cush Jumbo 16%, Charissa Thompson 7%, Stephanie Szostak 6%.
BEST LONG HAIR: CAMILA CABELLO.
The pop star lived up to her L'Oreal contract, as the lover of Havana came from behind to defeat a defending winner from Armenia.
Cabello 35 percent, Gohar Shahnazaryan 32%, Ana Cabrera 18%, Stephanie Abu-Sbieh 11%, Samantha Ponder 4%.
BEST CURLS: DASHIK GUBANOVA.
Don't cut your hair for 16 years, and you get extra-long curls that others can't top. The Russian "Rapunzel" wins the curl Crown for the second year in a row.
Gubanova 43 percent, Tori Kelly 21%, Rachael Price 19%, Hortencia Caires 14%, Joyjah 4%.
BEST BANGS: JAMEELA JAMIL.
The Good Place actress from London campaigns for "body positivity." Hair with plenty of body received a postive reaction here.
Jamil 46 percent, Angelinka Balerinka 25%, Nicola Roberts 18%, Melissa Rauch 6%, Samia Longchambon 5%.
BEST HAIRSTYLE ON TELEVISION: D'ARCY CARDEN.
A second win for The Good Place, as supporters came to the side of a precise style after the first week of voting.
Carden 54 percent, Jana Laurin 16%, Priyanka Chopra 13%, Laura Wright 12%, Sarah Rafferty 5%.
BEST HAIRSTYLE IN A MOVIE: NINA DOBREV, AMANDA SEYFRIED (tie).
The tightest contest of all ends with the first-ever deadlock in this category. That means Crowns for both stars of the romantic comedy Dog Days and the drama First Reformed.
Dobrev 26 percent, Seyfried 26 percent, Sharon Horgan 21%, Haley Lu Richardson 20%, Rachel McAdams 7%.
BEST HAIRSTYLE IN MUSIC: RACHAEL PRICE.

Price 44 percent, Camila Cabello 23%, Rachael Price 19%, Hortencia Caires 14%, Joyjah 4%.
BEST HAIRSTYLE IN ATHLETICS: TESSA BLANCHARD.
The long tough locks on this Impact Wrestling star were in fifth place after one week - but turned out to be, as she would put it, "undeniable." She's the first grappler to capture this Crown since 2006.
Blanchard 43 percent, Ivana Jorovic 27%, Becky Lynch 15%, Casey Short 11%, Alex Morgan 4%.
NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR: DANIELLE ASHLEY.

Ashley 52 percent, Haley Lu Richardson 21%, Peyton List 20%, Chisa Arika Putri 4%, Melissa Wolfe 3%.
BEST BLONDE: ELENA BASHKINA.
Back-to-back blonde Crowns belong to this Russian Instagram star. A big first week was enough to outlast a queen of daytime drama.
Bashkina 35 percent, Laura Wright 28%, Samantha Ponder 18%, Becky Quick 13%, Tori Kelly 6%.
BEST BRUNETTE: D'ARCY CARDEN.
The only double-Crown winner this year is this actress, who gives The Good Place a third Crown. She prevented last year's big winner from gaining any Crowns.
Carden 47 percent, Gohar Shahnazaryan 26%, Priyanka Chopra 16%, Stepanie Abu-Sbieh 9%, Ayden Mayeri 3%.
BEST REDHEAD: LAURA SPENCER.

Spencer 30 percent, Karen Gillan 29%, Becky Lynch 24%, Sarah Rafferty 13%, Julia Boorstin 5%.
BEST HAIRSTYLE IN JOURNALISM: JULIA BOORSTIN.
The markets may fluctuate, but the amazing naturally-based waves of this CNBC business anchor never do. "Bullish" fans, to quote one comment, give her this award for the second year in a row.
Boorstin 41 percent, Kate Garraway 19%, Dana Perino 17%, Becky Quick 17%, Erin Burnett 6%.
MAKEOVER OF THE YEAR: KAREN GILLAN.
The Scottish actress grew out her short cut, and is rewarded with her third Crown in five years.

BEST HAIRSTYLE IN WEATHER/SCIENCE: KELLY CASS.

Cass 67 percent, Merry Matthews 13%, Jackie Guerrido 10%, April Moss 6%, Ginger Zee 4%.
BEST HAIRSTYLE IN GOVERNMENT/POLITICS: GRETCHEN WHITMER.
Two nominees in this field declared themselves U.S. Presidential candidates during the voting. Yet the new Governor of Michigan ran up the highest winning percentage of the year.
Whitmer 71 percent, Lynn Fitch 23%, Tulsi Gabbard 4%, Kamala Harris 1%, Carlina Rivera 1%.
BEST HAIRSTYLE IN SPORTS REPORTING: SAMANTHA PONDER.

BEST PONYTAIL: JOANNA GAINES.

Gaines 32 percent, Viktorija Jukonyte 26%, Karen Gillan 24%, Ana Navahra 11%, Pann Ei Phyu 7%.
BEST SILVER HAIR: ANNIKA VON HOLDT.
Our first-ever Twitter-only contest didn't receive many votes, but the author of novels and screenplays had enough to become the first-ever Crown winner from Denmark.
Von Holdt 50 percent, "Hillary B" 25%, Caroline LaBouchere 25%.
SUPER-HAIR WARS CHAMPION HAIRSTYLE OF THE YEAR: NIKITA SHARMA.
